Renovation of an apartment in a First Republic apartment building near the centre of Opava. The studio space is accessible from the square, as is the display window supporting the only active commercial frontage nearby. Behind the one-way mirrored shopfront is already a private part of the apartment. The generous 4.5 m height is connected by compensating stairs and a working platform to the apartment and the studio facilities located half a level higher. A large opening connects the new kitchen with the living room and visually extends it towards the square. A new French window links the kitchen to a terrace in the green courtyard. The minimalist interior is complemented by original doors and frames, while reflective and perforated sheet-metal furniture and mirrors help the relatively small space feel more generous.
