Hide & Bike brings playfulness and creativity into the city. It stores bicycles and also works as a variable bench, allowing the place to be observed from a less usual perspective. The main volume is a bicycle box, while additional modules serve as seats at two height levels and allow people to climb onto the roof.
Urban furniture that is only a bicycle box can often feel disruptive in public space, so I added another function. Seating transforms a simple bicycle container into a useful urban element and a place for meeting. Two basic modules with low or high seats can be combined with additional elements.
