The information centre in a house on Republic Square below the Green Gate in Pardubice has a new operator, and this change also brought a new interior.
The building dates from the beginning of the 20th century and was designed by Frantisek Roith. The ground-floor space used by the new information centre has undergone many changes over time. Original materials and former bank counters had to be preserved, and these helped divide the interior into a busier service area and a quieter display area.
The new interior lets the open space stand out and creates a feeling of transparency and clarity. The furniture is custom-made and modular for flexibility. Exhibition modules use a light steel frame made of welded profiles, with different types of perforated sheet-metal panels designed for display.
